how the nubian story began
A brief history
On May 3, 2009, three friends, who enjoyed an exceptional bond, prepared to part ways and set forth on their own individual paths. On this date at 4:30 p.m., these three exceptional men: Brandon D. Dykes, Jamarco C. Walker, and the Hidden Magnolia, decided that the bond they had established was one that would last a lifetime. While reflecting on their experiences at Zemurray Park, in Hammond, Louisiana, it became evident that such a bond needed to be shared with the world, as well as other men, who shared the same common interests and goals as they, themselves, aspired to. In order to allow their vision to bloom into a reality, to share with all men, as well as remind them of the direct impact and influence we all have on each other, Nu Phi Zeta Fraternity Inc. was created.
Building Trust
The Mission of Nu Phi Zeta Fraternity Inc. is to bring the brotherhood bond of all of its members, help them achieve their goals, and live a life of purpose while helping make the world a better place through community service, display of brotherly love, and educating the community, and the members, as well. We decree to live by our five principle ideals. We welcome a man as a Brother regardless of age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, social class, or other bias. We ask that he pledges himself to the common beliefs of the organization and to each member that comprises the group. The benefits the gentleman receives are a healthy environment that enables him to develop his talent and proficiency to its full potential, and enhance his personal and social skills.
Forging Ahead
We inspire men to realize their potential. In the early stages, we inform our members that nothing is given to you; you must strive and persevere in order to succeed. Keeping perseverance the main focus, while living a life of purpose, will show that you are truly an asset to the world. Despite all the misconceptions society has placed upon us, we are determined to prove them wrong. We come from all over the United States, bringing very different backgrounds, sharing common interests, and giving back to our communities in order to make the world better for those who come behind us. Keeping that our main focus, and challenging our member Brothers, has helped our organization grow into over 18 states and 32 cities around the United States.
